It was a typical, normal type of Wednesday, except that I was feeling a bit different. It was probably one of those days where you feel both empty and super emotional, nothing dramatic though—there was just a heavy weight on my shoulders. I was anxious about the future, feeling sort of lost, and was definitely not the best version of myself.

I couldn’t help but wonder…can we really survive alone in this life? Would this whole thing be easier, with no stress about anything? Are we supposed to actively search for happiness and do anything within our power to bring happiness to us, or are we supposed to go on, being too busy with our jobs, with the life of others and trying to find the actual meaning of our life and allow it to take us by surprise?

Sometimes in life, if you take a closer look and be aware of the small details around you, you will realize that you’re blessed with little miracles; those miracles might seem like nothing, like a tiny white feather, but they really do carry incredible weight. They are signs that you’re never alone, even when you’re at your lowest, even when it’s just a simple Wednesday night and you’re feeling a sort of emptiness or having so many unanswered questions in your head. You keep asking for an answer.

We have that specific image of angels: amazingly beautiful, winged beings, dressed in white cloaks and almost glowing with an aura of a halo. That might be true, but in reality, life sends those heavenly beings as objects we can see in the streets or in special forms to blend in with their surroundings as they perform their assigned duties; or even as in animals or as in the faces of our friends. Those are small heavenly notes of an angel, maybe just to show us that the mix of insanity we are feeling is just a part of the process, the healing process, the process of finding yourself and the answers to your questions. Those traces of angels in your life could be anything, in any form.

In some certain faith, angels are messengers. They bring good news or they are considered to be guardians or faithful guards. They protect people, guiding them, and giving them signs of their love and care. Take for example the sign of a white feather. A feather is a reminder that you are not alone. A feather, the smell of a rose while you’re walking down the street, an animal, an innocent child, an old lady smiling at you. It can be an answer to a question, or a thought that stresses you out. It can be a reassurance that you’re on the right path or that you’re not alone out there.

You never ride completely alone this road called life, there’s someone there that has your back. Angels exist and they are with us every single day. No matter the religion part, angels for me represent love. And we will always be blessed with love, all we have to do is give love, believe in it and then we will be able to accept it.
