You can't rush love

Love comes out of the blue. When you least expect it. It may come early or late in your life. But certainly, it doesn’t come exactly when you want it to show up. Even if you long and crave for a powerful, passionate love story, it takes time -and the right timing- to happen.

Being in love is wonderful. Especially when the feelings are mutual. But there is no point in losing hope and becoming obsessed with falling in love. It is said that you don’t have to find love, because it will eventually find you. And if you ask me, that is the case. So, relax, lay back, and live your life without stress and anxiety about matters of the heart. Love is a completely natural and beautiful thing. When you are ready, I am sure, it will knock on your door.

Anyhow, not you and not anybody else can hurry it. Love can’t be rushed and it can’t be enforced. In fact, the opposite happens more than often. The more you run after it, the more love slips away from you. Looking desperate and needy doesn’t help. There is nothing attractive or inviting about it. It makes you look weak and unstable. It is a sign that your heart isn’t quite ready to love and be loved.

Being an over-enthusiast isn’t always good either. You shouldn’t treat each one of your flirts and flings as the one and only love of your life. This will surely sooner or later hurt you. When you invest time and energy in relationships that are not worthy of it, you are doomed to fail. They won’t succeed, only because you want them to work no matter what. And you will be utterly disappointed. It may also cost you even more. Because there is a chance that you let true love pass you by, while you are focused on giving yourself away to unworthy affairs.

What you should actually do is live well and laugh as much as you can. Be calm and patient.  Make yourself feel lovable, successful, and strong – whether in a relationship or not. This is cool, interesting, and attractive.  After all, you must love yourself first in order for others to love you as well.

Of course, most of us find it difficult to live without the magic touch of love. There will be days when you feel alone. Days that you will be jealous of those happy couples around you and all the love that floats in the air. But, please don’t start wondering and worrying about when this will happen to you too.

The answer is quite simple and chances are that you already know it. Love will reach you when you never thought that it would. When you don’t push it. That is when you are truly ready. Because love will only find you once your heart is open and all set to accept it.

Even when you finally find your soulmate, you should be patient. You should let the feelings flow and grow in both of you. Because love is like a plant that needs time and care to grow and blossom. Chemistry works its magic anyway. But, if you want love to last, you should take it slowly. You should not panic. Just enjoy what it brings to you day by day without any angst. If it is meant to be, it will be, after all.

You can’t rush love, neither can you run away from it. It happens when it is destined to happen. No reason, no explanation. Like the miracle it is. So, wait. Do not hopelessly look for love. And when it does finally come, be sure that it’s there to stay.
